Does anyone know of a good freeware I can use to edit (Power Point)ppt slides?

Open Office by Sun Microsystems is a freeware version of Microsoft Office and includes a PowerPoint maker/viewer. I don't know of its compatibility with .ppt files, but it's worth a shot.
