Why did my pork loin do this?

I bought a 3 pound pork tenderloin and I thawed it out in hot water in the sink..which I now know you aren't supposed to do..anyways when I took it out of the package it like..split in half..and I don't know what raw pork loin is supposed to smell like..im kinda nervous to eat it lol
