My boyfriend threatens me to move out due to a change of faith?

Okay. I recently have been researching "traditions" of the catholic origin. I was born and raised catholic, but as I grew older alot of their traditional beliefs are not views I share. My boyfriend (whom fathers two of my children) is catholic. He does not practice it , but more less is labeled it. He does not attend church has had children out of "wedlock" and performs premarital , does not go to confession neither. Well, now he is talking about moving out because of my interest in turning non - denominational ....like he's acting like i am turning into a Jehovah -geez. He knows nothing about non denominational views , but strictly refuses to acknowledge any interest I have into converting over my faith and beliefs. Is this right? I mean seriously the guy was with a atheist before. When i told him i was saved by a minister he said im being brainwashed and is mad. Like what did i need his permission?? Am i the one in the wrong? any answers please.
