In what ways does affirmative action highlight the tension between liberty and equality?

there is no liberty or equality in affirmative action. any time you elevate some one (regardless of skin color) over others there can be no equality. People should be free to hire or fire who ever they chose, That freedom, that's liberty, that's equality. why should the government tell you who you can hire to work for you? that's wrong no matter how you look at it. We live in a world that should regulate itself. if the public sees wrong in a company then the people stop using that company.
