Allergy to lime on softball field?

My daughter plays softball. She is in a summer travel league which practices indoors all winter. Every year when her school team goes outside to start practice, she gets a red bumpy rash all over her palms. The only thing that is different from the winter is the outdoors. The rash goes away in about two months, but reappears each year in the spring. She uses her batting gloves and her catching glove all year, so cant be that. Anyone have any ideas?
